Nissan launched the Magnite SUV in India more than three years ago, and the Japanese carmaker has recently delivered the 1,00,000th Magnite sport utility vehicle from its Alliance plant in Chennai – Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. To mark the occasion, Nissan has unveiled a single sign-on web platform, dubbed Nissan One, as a part of its focus on enhancing customer satisfaction. The first-of-its-kind platform is designed to enable wider access for customers to make the initial inquiry, book a test drive, select a car of their choice, and make after-sales service requests, thereby eliminating the need for customers to browse multiple websites and platforms.

Nissan One: What else does it Offer?

Besides, as a part of the platform, Nissan enables existing owners to share a referral code with their friends and family. If a purchase is made using the 'Refer & Earn' programme, then the points earned can be redeemed for various services and benefits. The launch of the platform marks a significant leap in delivering a seamless and integrated experience to customers while bringing together disparate customer touchpoints into a single, user-friendly, and accessible interface.

"This robust, innovative platform is a reflection of Nissan’s ‘Customer First’ philosophy. It offers information and customisations to cater to the specific needs of all buyers, potential and existing. The refer and earn Program, the first of its kind in the industry, is the brand's way of rewarding our buyers and showing gratitude for their faith in Nissan", said Mohan Wilson, Director – Marketing, Product & Customer Experience, Nissan Motor India.

Nissan Magnite Facelift in the Works

Nissan currently retails its only SUV in the country, the Magnite. Launched in December 2020, the Nissan Magnite is priced from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom). In related news, Nissan is readying the facelifted version of the Magnite for an India launch sometime this year. Like the Renault Kardian, the updated Magnite is expected to come with a new infotainment system, an electric sunroof, a shorter gear lever, and Level 2 ADAS features, including lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control.

Nissan Magnite: Powertrain

Under the hood, the existing Nissan Magnite gets two engine options: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit. The former produces 71bhp and 96Nm of peak torque, while the latter cranks out 99bhp and 160Nm of maximum torque. The 5-speed manual gearbox that comes standard with the turbo mill has been replaced with a CVT, which reduces torque output to 152Nm, while there is an automatic option on its naturally aspirated petrol engine. The brand offers the Magnite SUV in different configurations: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium, Kuro Edition, and Geza Edition.

Nissan Magnite SUV: Safety Gear

The safety features of the Nissan SUV include electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), dual front airbags, and hill-start assist.
