2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Leaked Ahead of India Launch

The only bike in the Pulsar lineup with a fuel-injection system instead of an e-carb was the Bajaj Pulsar 125, but that appears to be changing after the new 2023 model was spotted prior to its India launch. The bike might get new alloy wheels and colours in addition to this significant change.

Images of the updated Bajaj Pulsar 125 have been leaked ahead of its official launch in the Indian market. The leaked images indicate that the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125 has undergone a number of changes on both cosmetic and mechanical fronts. The all-new Bajaj Pulsar 125, which is OBD2-compliant and runs on E20 fuel, has begun to arrive at dealerships across the country as well. The 2023 iteration of the 125cc bike will primarily compete with the Hero Glamour Canvas, Honda SP125, and TVS Raider 125. Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto recently announced the arrival of the 2023 Pulsar 220F in India. This sub-250cc Pulsar motorcycle has received the necessary modifications to become OBD2-compliant. The front wing, fairing, fuel tank, rear panel, and engine cowl of the bike have received new graphics. The company has also updated the instrument cluster of the 2023 model, which now displays details about the motorcycle's fuel efficiency, along with the distance to empty and real-time fuel economy. Coming back to the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125, here's everything you need to know about the new updates that the bike has received.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125: Mechanical Specifications

In terms of mechanical updates, the switch to fuel injection technology is the most significant one. This is indicated by the missing petcock, used in motorcycles using carburettors to switch between main, reserve, and off fuel flow. Additionally, a closer look at the bike reveals that the DTS-i badging is missing from the new Bajaj Pulsar 125, suggesting that Bajaj has discontinued the use of twin spark plugs.

The motorcycle still retains the 124.4cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It is important to note that the company has not yet mentioned the new specifications on its official website. However, we do not expect a significant change from the prior version in terms of output figures. For comparison, the previous model was tuned to produce 10.8Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm and 11.64bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm. The five-speed gearbox will be retained in the new model.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125: New Features

The feature list of the bike is very similar to that of the earlier version. The 2023 model's digital display has been updated by the manufacturer to include details about the distance to empty and real-time fuel economy. The 2023 Pulsar 125 also gets LED taillights, bulb-style turn indicators, and halogen headlights, along with a multi-brake system.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125: Styling Updates and New Colour Options

The headlight cowl, fuel tank and shrouds, and rear panel of the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125 are just a few areas where the new colours and updated graphics are noticeable. Additionally, the manufacturer has updated the design of the alloy wheels – the 2023 model now gets stylish wheels with a split-style design. The other styling aspects remain unaltered – the 2023 model continues with a single-pod headlight with twin DRLs, a muscular fuel tank, a sharp tail section, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and a side-slung exhaust.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125: Hardware Details

The 2023 Pulsar 125 continues to employ telescopic front forks and twin-sided rear springs for its suspension system because the hardware is unchanged. Similar to the previous model, the base model's braking system will consist of drum units on both wheels. The premium versions will have a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.
