Triumph’s flagship adventure motorcycle will make its global appearance very soon. The new Triumph Tiger 1200 will most likely be launched in India early next year.

Triumph has confirmed that the new Tiger 1200 will make its global debut on December 7, 2021. The Triumph Tiger 1200 will mainly rival the BMW R 1250 GS, Harley-Davidson Pan America and Ducati Multistrada V4. The new Tiger 1200 will go on sale in the international markets first and the India launch is likely to be held in the first quarter of 2022.

The Tiger 1200 which will be unveiled is built completely new from the ground up. This essentially means that the new Tiger 1200 will have an all-new chassis and engine. The cycle parts will be new as well. Expect new suspension components and braking hardware with the new motorcycle. What we shall miss is the one-sided swing arm which is currently offered with the outgoing Tiger 1200. The new Tiger 1200 will have a conventional dual-sided swingarm.

The motorcycle is expected to be lighter and will have optimised weight distribution compared to the current Tiger 1200 on sale in the international markets. The new 1,160cc three-cylinder engine, which powers the Speed Triple RS could be the new heart of the upcoming Tiger 1200. The power output is expected to be close to 160bhp and 130Nm.

The new Tiger 1200 will also feature multiple riding modes, six-axis IMU-based ABS, traction and wheelie control. For instrumentation, the motorcycle will feature a TFT screen. More details on the new Triumph Tiger 1200 will be revealed on December 7, 2021.
