BMW Motorrad has achieved the sales milestone of 5,000 units in India. It is an impressive number for a brand, which has only two sub-Rs 5 lakh motorcycles on sale, as the rest of its products are pretty expensive, going all the way up to almost Rs 50 lakh (on-road)!

BMW Motorrad India has reported a total sale of 5,000 units in the year 2021, which is the highest sales figure ever for the firm. BMW Motorrad India confirms that 90 per cent of its sales have been garnered by the ‘Made in India’ G 310 R and G 310 GS, which are the two most affordable motorcycles in its portfolio.

Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, said, 'Since its inception, BMW Motorrad has redefined the premium motorcycling scenario in India with its dynamic product range and bespoke riding experiences. A phenomenal year for BMW Motorrad in India. Despite the turbulence in the two-wheeler industry, we have performed well and achieved exponential growth.'

According to BMW, the credit for the sales success of its products also goes to the financial services provided by the firm to its customers.
