Ducati 959 Panigale unveiled for Rs. 14.4 lakh at India Bike Week

The Ducati 959 Panigale has been unveiled at Asias’ largest biking festival, the India Bike Week in Goa.

At the India Bike Week, Ducati has unveiled their super bike, the Ducati 959 Panigale in India. before its official launch, Ducati has also announced that the bike will be priced at Rs. 14.4 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.

The 959 gets a 157bhp generating 955cc, Superquadro: twin cylinder, 8 valve, Desmodromic, liquid cooled engine mated to a Ducati Quick Shift 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch producing 107Nm of torque @9000rpm. The bike is built on a monocoque aluminium frame with fully adjustable Showa BPF front fork suspension and and a fully adjustable Sachs double sided swing arm suspension at the rear. The bike runs on Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres with 120/70 R17 at the front and 180/60 R17 wheels at the rear as standard with a 1,431mm wheelbase. ABS is included with the front and rear Brembo disc brakes as standard fitment on the 959. The bike weighs in at only 176kgs dry and the kerb weight of the bike is 200kgs.

Ravi Avalur, Managing Director of Ducati India said: “We are very excited to bring the new super-mid Ducati Superbike to India. The Ducati 959 Panigale is the perfect balance between impressive design and breath-taking performance and it embodies Ducati’s premium sportbike culture."

The bike will be available from July 2016 at all Ducati dealerships in India, which includes Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore. Ducati will also announce their dealership expansion plans with a new dealership in a brand new city soon. The 959 Panigale will be brought in as a Completely Built-Up Unit from the manufacturers production facility in Thailand.
