The 2022 Hyundai Creta will break cover next month at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2021. For now, the Korean carmaker has released teaser images of the updated mid-size SUV.

Now, we have seen the spy pictures of the Hyundai Creta mid-size SUV a number of times. After a long wait, the manufacturer itself has released a set of teaser images that give us a glimpse of how the Hyundai Creta facelift will look like.

The fascia of the 2022 Creta is all-new which is more in line with the international spec Hyundai Tuscon. The most part of the frontal area is covered by the chrome-finished grille with LED DRLs flanked on either side. The headlamps appear to be repositioned and the internal elements are likely to be reworked upon. The 2022 Creta has a larger faux skid plate upfront.

When looked upon from the side, the new Creta sports the same alloy-wheel design as the outgoing model on sale. That is very intriguing as most facelift or design tweaks include a restyled alloy wheel design. The rear end of the 2022 Hyundai Creta appears to be the same in terms of design.

The drivetrain options will continue to be the same as the outgoing model. Two petrol and one diesel engine with a choice of multiple gearbox options.

Current, there is a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel mill that can be had with a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque-converter automatic. The petrol variants can be had with a 1.5-litre N.A or a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. The gearbox options are six-speed manual, seven-speed dual-clutch auto or a CVT.

The key addition to the new Hyundai Creta is likely to be the inclusion of ADAS. However, these can be confirmed once the 2022 Hyundai Creta has been unveiled at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2021 (GIIAS) that will be held from November 11.
