The all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona has formally made its debut on the automotive scene. With its powerful 100.5kWh battery, this beast can deliver 670bhp. No word yet on when or how much it will cost, although it is expected to be on sale later this year. To set itself apart, Dodge introduced the Daytona R/T and Charger Daytona Scat Pack, two new electric vehicles designed to satisfy the pickiest demands of muscle car fans. These electric versions take on the challenge of reimagining the classic muscle car experience without the usual loudness of engine noise in a world where sound is king. But that's not all! Dodge plans to provide ICE versions of these cars as well, so drivers can compare the two driving sensations head-on. So, it's not all electric, either. To make sure the electric transition doesn't ruin the exciting dynamics that make the Charger Daytona lineage unique, Dodge puts a big focus on performance beyond just decibel level.

2024 Dodge Charger Daytona: Design

Keeping with its legendary robust widebody posture from earlier iterations, the design of the most recent Dodge Charger Daytona EV pays respect to its past. The front of the electric car features a unique flap that directs airflow over the grille and sloping hood. Although the Charger's side mirrors have a more traditional form, the vehicle's overall appearance is in keeping with the visual concept. The presence of the Fratzog emblem on the grille has caught attention and has sparked rumours that it could take the place of the present Dodge two-stripe emblem.

The Charger's cabin emits modern electronic sophistication without compromising on the vehicle's signature analogue design elements. From the driver's seat, passengers can use a 12.3-inch central screen in addition to the basic 10.25-inch digital panel, which can be upgraded to a large 16-inch device. The design of the dashboard is inspired by the classic 1968 Charger, with its sleek lines and a central console that showcases a shift handle designed for pistol grips.

An optional full-length glass roof enhances the cabin's feeling of openness and provides a connection to the outdoors for individuals who desire it. With an astounding spectrum of 64 colours, Dodge's interior lighting is sure to turn heads if you're looking for a more lively atmosphere. Whether you're opening a door or pressing the start button, these dynamic hues can alter to create a personalised and immersive driving experience.

2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV: Powertrain

A powerful 100.5 kWh battery pack (with 93.9 kWh usable) and a modern 400V electrical design are standard equipment of the electric Charger Daytona models. The R/T model's amazing 511km range between charges is made possible by this power combination. The top-of-the-line Scat Pack is a beast, with two permanent-magnet synchronous motors and silicon-carbide inverters working together to provide an impressive 630bhp and 850Nm of torque.

In a 15.0-second overboost mode, raises the power of this EV muscle car to an astounding 670bhp. With only 3.3 seconds to get from 0 to 100km/h with a load of 2648 kg, the Scat Pack proves to be a formidable machine. Impressive quarter-mile times of 11.5 seconds and a top speed of 215 km/hr demonstrate the Charger's thrilling road capabilities.
