7 Seat Renault Duster Spied Testing

As you are well aware, Renault is working toward bringing its new-generation Renault Duster SUV to the Indian market. The SUV could hit Indian roads sometime in 2025. Ahead of that, spy images of the seven-seat Duster have surfaced online, previewing what the production-spec SUV could look like. The seven-seat model will initially go on sale in the international market, with the Indian market to follow at a later date. It will likely be called the Renault Bigster upon arrival in our market.

As per the spy images, the Renault Bigster seems to borrow design cues from the five-seat Duster; however, one can expect the seven-seat SUV to pack in additional features to justify what will likely be a higher price tag. The upcoming Bigster SUV is expected to have rugged, chunky styling while retaining its overall silhouette. While the front fascia is partly visible, a good look at the images reveals its slim LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. In profile, the car seems to sport pillar-mounted door handles, squared-off wheel arches, and black alloys. Other elements include C-shaped LED taillamps, a shark-fin antenna, and an extended roof spoiler.

Renault Bigster: Interior

7 Seat Renault Duster Interior

On the inside as well, the seven-seat Bigster will likely mimic the Duster. Expected interior bits include steering-wheel-mounted controls, a large infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, an electrically adjustable driver seat, auto-dimming IRVM, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, and an ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) suite.

Renault Bigster: Platform, Powertrain

The Renault Bigster sits on the same CMF-B platform as the Duster. At about 4,600mm in length, the Bigster is 300mm longer than the five-seat Duster. Under the hood, the new seven-seat SUV is expected to get three engine options – a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol-hybrid, a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol-hybrid, and a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG variant (in some markets). Like its five-seat counterpart, the Bigster will likely come with a front-wheel-drive setup and an optional all-wheel-drive system.
