Tata has once again teased its new hatchback. This time around it has a name badge, 'Zica'!

Earlier this month in November of 2015, Tata released its first audio visual commercial with footballer Lionel Messi who has been recently signed on as the company’s brand ambassador. In that commercial we reported that Tata Motors teased its new hatchback with sections of the car being flashed on screen. At that point of time the car did not have a badge denoting its name.  You can read the earlier story and view the images here --> Tata teases new Kite

Now though, Tata Motors has uploaded a new video to its YouTube channel with the title - Presenting the name of the next big thing - Zica from Tata Motors. It’s #Fantastico! In this video, the clips from the earlier video have been shortened and put together. But this time around, Tata has added the ‘Zica’ badge to the back of the car.

Tata had codenamed its new hatchback as the Kite and as reported earlier by us, this new hatchback is the replacement model for Tata’s original hatchback, the Indica which was a big hit for the company when it first came out. The Zica will look to build on the credentials of its predecessor by being a value for money proposition along with its trademark of being very generous in terms of interior space.

A big aspect to look forward to in the upcoming Tata Zica will be the company’s new 1.05 litre, three cylinder diesel engine that will make its debut in the car. Tata will also spawn a new compact sedan based on the Zica at a later point of time. The car has been spotted testing a couple of times in the country and is destined to replace the aging Tata Indigo eCS compact sedan.
