Sales numbers have reached a new milestone for Ola Electric, the country's leading electric two-wheeler producer. Data regarding the brand's August Sales from the Vahan portal indicate that the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer dispatched 19,000 electric scooters last month. This is among Ola Electric's highest-ever sales periods with a staggering 400 per cent increase in sales compared to the same period in 2022. The electric two-wheeler market share of the company presently stands at 30 per cent. As of now, Ola sells five electric scooters in India. Three new models—the S1 Air, the S1 Pro Gen2, and the S1 X—were rolled out last month in three distinct trim levels. The three variants range in price from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom), giving buyers options at various pricing points. Steel wheels, drum brakes on both ends, dual rear shocks, telescopic front forks, Eco, Normal, and Sport riding modes, reverse mode, 34-litre trunks, seat heights of 805mm, combi braking systems, LED headlights, and 12-inch wheels are all standard on these e-scooters.

Ola S1 Air: Design Details and Mechanical Specs

The Ola S1 Air and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters look extremely similar from a design perspective. However, a more thorough look begins to reveal a number of variations. The e-scooter's blacked-out panels are combined with matte and metallic colour finishes for a dual-tone aesthetic. Neon, Stellar Blue, Coral Glam, Midnight Blue, Liquid Silver, and Porcelain White are the six colour options available for the model. Further prominent design changes include steel wheels, a more functional flat footboard, a simpler tubular rear grab handle, and classic telescopic front suspension.

With a peak speed cap of 90km/h and a 0 to 40km/h acceleration time of just 3.3 seconds, the EV maker promises a 151-kilometre range on a single charge. It might charge completely in less than five hours. In addition to these and other notable features, the S1 Air boasts a telescopic front fork, double shock absorbers in the back, drum brakes on both ends, cruise control, twin projector headlamps, navigation, reverse mode, ride modes, and a 7-inch touchscreen interface unit with GPS and smartphone connectivity.
