The Maruti Suzuki Brezza came in second, while the Hyundai Creta finished third, with monthly sales of 15,276 units, the highest since its introduction. With several categories and sub-segments, the SUVs come in all forms and sizes. These vehicles capture a major share of our auto market because of their ability to satisfy clients who want space, utility, and aesthetics all in one. Here's a look at the five SUVs that sold the most in February. If you're in the market for a new SUV, check out these best-sellers.

Tata Punch

The five-seater SUV from Tata Motors was the best-selling model last month, selling 18,438 units, up 65.08% from 11,169 sold in February 2023. Interestingly, the Punch was the top-selling SUV and the second-highest-selling vehicle overall in January this year. With monthly sales of 17,978 units, it registered a notable 50% year-over-year increase. The mechanical setup of the Tata Punch includes a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, with the option of a manufacturer-installed CNG kit. In standard petrol mode, the motor produces 84bhp and 113Nm. However, when running on CNG, the engine delivers 72bhp and 103Nm. The CNG variant has just a manual transmission option; the petrol version receives both an AMT unit and a 5-speed manual transmission. In our market, the Tata Punch carries a starting price tag of Rs 6.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

An electric version of the Punch SUV was introduced in January of this year. With a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh, the electric SUV is positioned between the Nexon EV and Tigor EV in the company's lineup of electric vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza secured the second position on the list, despite experiencing a drop in sales. In February 2024, it sold 15,765 units, down 0.14% YoY from 15,787 units delivered at the same time the previous year. The Brezza is available in four core variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+, with a starting price of Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom). The 1.5-litre petrol engine in the car delivers 137Nm and 102bhp. However, the CNG model generates 121.5Nm and 86.6bhp. The gasoline-powered variant has both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission as options, whereas the CNG vehicle only has a 5-speed manual gearbox.
