Founded in 2007, Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd is a division of the Volkswagen Group India. The Volkswagen Group’s presence in the Indian market can be traced back to 2001. The Passat was the first car to make its debut in India and was ushered in as a CKD unit. The launch of the Jetta sedan that happened in 2008, was then followed by the Polo in the coming years.
